Final Exam & Course Letter Grades...
...HAVE BEEN UPLOADED TO THE BLACKBOARD GRADE CENTER
Graded exams can be picked up starting at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, at the Chemistry Lower Division Office (WEL 2.212). Exams will be stored for one year. Exams that have not been picked up after one year will be destroyed.
The average raw score on the final was 305.10 (76.27%). The standard deviation was 46.78 raw points (11.70%). The high score on the exam was a perfect 400! Many of you did very well on the final exam - congratulations!!!.
The answer key for the exam has been posted. The answers that you marked on the Part I answer sheet are listed in the Blackboard gradebook. The posted key gives the correct answers. There are no regrades possible for the final exam - I checked all of the exams to make sure that grades were calculated correctly before I submitted course grades to the registrar.
The letter grade you earned was determined by the grading policy outlined very clearly in the course syllabus. Final grades determined in this way are indeed final. If you have a question about how your grade was determined, you will need to speak to me in person after Fall 2008 semester classes start - I will not discuss grades via e-mail or over the telephone. My office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 2, and will be held every weekday (except Thursday) from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m.
The information on this website will remain available until approximately October 1, when it will be removed to make way for the Spring 2009 CH 310N course.
Best of luck in all of your future endeavors!!!
