Grade Problems

If you have an issue with your final grade please email me your exam and hw scores so that I can double check them with my gradebook. Barring an error in my gradebook there is nothing that can be done to change your grade at this point. So please don't come asking for extra credit or super generous rounding as this will simply take up both of our time and result in the same final grade.

Grades

On the whole you all did great. So well that I was tempted to bump the grade cutoff up. Instead I kept them at 85/70/55. Good work from everyone this semester.

Old exams keys are posted

On the 2004 exam key I messed up a T/F. The first ionization energy of Ar is not higher than the second. This is false.

Room

My office hours today Tuesday the 9 from 3-5 will be in Wel 2.122. This is the large class room we have been having reviews in.

Office Hours

I will have extended office hours in large room on Tuesday from 3-4. I'll post the room once I have found one. After that please email me for an appointment.

Exam 3

Key is posted on the HW page. You all did very well again. Way to go. I'll key the grade cutoffs as posted before 85, 70, 55.

Old Final Exams

I have posted the old final exams from 2002, 2003, 2004. I will work on posting keys for them next week. You should note: In the past the course covered some different material. In particular we covered some solution acid/base chemistry in some years as well as solution properties. If you encounter such a problem as "Is acetic acid a strong base?" or "How many mL of a 0.1M HCl solution are required to neutralize 100 mL of 0.2 M barium hydroxide?" Do not email me and ask if this will be on the final. You are all smart enough to identify the material which has not been covered at all in class. Rather than spend time editing this out, I left it in. This will give you the opportunity to judge the typical length of the final (I may cut this years down a bit) as well as allowing me to get them posted now.
